Ryan Blair
Having launched his career as an entrepreneur in 1999, Ryan Blair earned a reputation as a self-made multi-millionaire, and serial entrepreneur, launching six companies over his career, starting with computer support firm 24/7 Tech, which he established at the age of 21. Blair’s start-up companies have generated over 150MM in equity to shareholders over the last decade. Ryan is the CEO of ViSalus Sciences, and an active investor in several other ventures. Late 2008 he merged PathConnect with SolutionX in a $20 million dollar transaction, and sold ViSalus to Blyth in a $32.5 million dollar transaction and a multi-year earn out.
As an advocate of restoring the American economy through entrepreneurial job creation, and as living proof of his own philosophy, Ryan Blair created the Nothing to Lose charitable foundation, which focuses on teaching entrepreneurial skills to those who are unemployed or underemployed. As a philanthropist, Blair helped launch Actress Jessica Biel’s charitable foundation Make the Difference Network, and supported causes such as Venture County based fund raiser Cops Run for Kids, and in the faith based community, helped fund a new building for the New Mt. Moriah church of Detroit. Ryan Blair is also an active investor and advisor to several companies such as ViSalus Sciences, SkiSpace, Fragmob, Compass, and SolutionX. Recently he became Executive Producer for NCAA Basketball Hall of Fame Coach Dale Brown’s documentary Man in the Glass.
Having overcome an early life of adversity, Nothing to Lose Author Ryan Blair is often profiled by the media as a street smart entrepreneurial role model and has given thousands of motivational speeches, and made appearances on The Larry Elder Show, CNBC’s The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch, MSNBC’s Your Business, Fox News and Fox Business. He has been written about in Time Magazine, Business Week, Men’s Fitness, Sports Illustrated, the Wall Street Journal, and Forbes. As an author, Blair got his start contributing to the book Power of Mentorship, subsequently went on to partner with 4 time New York Times Bestselling author Don Yaeger to write Nothing to Lose, (Feb 2010) and is currently penning his own life story Faith of the Dots.
